Please consider taking advantage of the opportunity to submit your comments regarding the Consortium’s proposed revised Accreditation Standards.
Driven by a demonstrated need to ensure the Consortium for Advanced Practice Providers Accreditation Standards continue to support Postgraduate NP, PA and joint NP/PA training programs’ compliance with executive orders and federal laws, the Consortium’s Accreditation Commission and Standards Review Committee reviewed the accreditation standards and recommended revisions in Standards 2: Curriculum. Many of the proposed revisions are being made in order to comply with President Trump’s April 23, 2025 Executive Order entitled ‘Reforming Accreditation to Strengthen Higher Education”.
The proposed revisions to the Accreditation Standards (added text underlined and highlighted in yellow, and deleted text in “track changes” comments column) are posted on the Consortium’s website: www.APPpostgradtraining.com/Accreditation
The Consortium and its Accreditation Commission invites all communities of interest to submit comments or suggested changes/deletions regarding the Accreditation Standards for Postgraduate NP, PA, and Joint NP/PA Training Programs. Your comments will be an essential part of the revision process.
The Accreditation Standards Review Committee and Accreditation Commission will review the comments and recommended revisions of the standards. The 2025 Accreditation Standards will go into effect upon final approval by the Accreditation Commission.
The Call for Comments will be open for 30 days for the public to review and provide feedback. Comments must be received no later than Friday, July 25, 2025. Interested parties may provide their comments by using this email address: [email protected] and including “Accreditation Standards Revisions – Public Comments” in the subject field.
