Accreditation Salon

Learning about the Consortium's accreditation process -- Formal and informal presentations

We have had lots of requests for more information about the accreditation application process, how to conduct and write the programmatic Self Study, how to prepare for the site visit, how accreditation decisions are made, and how the timeline works.  In response to these requests, the Consortium is going to offer a monthly “Accreditation Salon” via Zoom video conference.  Our goal is provide useful information about the Consortium’s accreditation process, at any stage of the process.  As a general rule, we plan to offer them on the third Thursday of the month at 1:00 pm Eastern.  However the first Salon will be on a Tuesday. Our intent is to make the timing and content as responsive as possible to the needs of our audience.  As we roll out the Salons, do give us feedback on what works and what we need to reconsider.  We want this to be valued added!

The first Salon is scheduled for Tuesday, December 12, 3:00-4:00 PM Eastern.

The format will be a combination of formal presentations and informal discussion with occasional featured speakers.  Our intent is to cover the accreditation process systematically, from start to finish, and to address programs’ time-sensitive questions in real time. Formal presentations will focus on issues that have been raised over the last 2 years as programs contemplated and/or completed the accreditation process. Time sensitive questions will be submitted through the monthly registration process.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be rolling out our registration process. The registration will be via this website — do check back for updates on how to register and for the inaugural Salon’s agenda.

Look forward to seeing you on December the 12th.
